AirCar was founded November 1, 1984 to serve the transportation needs of frequent business travelers. At the time there was a gap in the market between taxicabs and limousine services. Taxis didn’t offer the level of service the client was looking for and limousine companies were not particularly interested in pursuing what they perceived as the non-lucrative airport business. The founder of AirCar, Richard Brown, a frequent business traveler at the time, recognized that a niche existed to serve the needs of business people such as himself.
Within a few years Richard and his staff had figured out that chauffeured sedans were the workhorse of the limousine business and had grown AirCar into the largest sedan service in the Metroplex. Although AirCar offers a variety of vehicles including limousines, vans, mini-buses and coaches, the sedan remains the core offering that satisfies the majority of our customers’ needs.
In December, 2006, Richard Brown transferred full ownership of AirCar to Walsh Integrity Investments, LLC, led by Peter Walsh. Peter Walsh was the founder and long-time owner of Dallas-based Alpha Omega Limousine. Peter brings his extensive logistical knowledge and experience in managing corporate/group events of all sizes to the AirCar team.
There have been many firsts for AirCar over the years. We were the first to offer flat rate zip code based airport pricing, the first to offer all-inclusive pricing and the first to offer a true on-line reservation system through our web site, AirCarNow.com. But what really sets AirCar apart is our outstanding team of chauffeurs and office staff.
